God, including Jesus and the Holy Spirit

 

[Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation. (Colossians 1:15 AMPC)

And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the Firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence. (Colossians 1:18 AKJV)

 

For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers. (Romans 8:29 AKJV)

 

Jesus represents the physical image of God. He is called the Firstborn of every creature and the Firstborn not only of the living but the dead as well as first among many brethren. He is also called the "First of the Firstfruits" (1 Corinthians 15:20-23), meaning that He is the first of many to be resurrected to eternal life. Christ referred to Himself as the First or Alpha (the first letter of the Greek language) several times in the book of Revelation 1:11, 17, 22:13. Since Jesus is the first, being number one, so is the Father and the Spirit.

Finding the lost turning 

 

How think you? if a man have a hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains, and seeks that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray… (Matthew 18:12-13 AKJV)

 

One sheep was lost then found.

Prodigal son or returning to God

 

Jesus tells of the one son who returns and one fatted calf is used to celebrate his return. (Luke 15:11-32)

Division

 

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:4 AKJV)

 

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. (Genesis 1:6 AKJV)

 

The number two may represent separating or dividing something into two parts. 

 

Multiplication

 

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply… (Genesis 1:27-28 AKJV) 

 

God created man and woman, two people, then they were to multiply. 

 

Union

 

And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall join to his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (Genesis 2:23-24 AKJV)

 

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of Him, two by two, into every town and place where He Himself was about to go. (Luke 10:1 ESV)

 

The number two may convey the meaning of a union because man and woman, though two in number, are made one in marriage. This is the primary union. There is also the union between Christ and the church. (1 Corinthians 12)

 

The number two also conveys a union for God’s work because the Lord sent out His disciples in groups of two.

 

3 

 

Spiritual perfection completion for good or evil

 

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit… (Matthew 28:19 AKJV)

 

God is a Spirit being and is perfect. He is composed of three parts: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 

 

• There are 27 books in the New Testament, which is 3 x 3 x 3, or completeness to the third power. Jesus prayed three times in the Garden of Gethsemane before His arrest.

• He was placed on the cross at the third hour of the day (9 a.m.) and died at the ninth hour (3 p.m.).

• There were three hours of darkness that covered the land while Jesus was suffering on the cross from the sixth hour to the ninth hour. Christ was dead for three days.

Creativity

 

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years… (Genesis 1:14 AKJV)

 

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10 AKJV)

 

“And you, O son of man, thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel: an end The end has come upon the four corners of the land. (Ezekiel 7:2 AKJV)

 

On the fourth day, God created the four seasons upon the Earth which was the beginning of days in correlation to the four seasons. The river in the Garden of Eden from which the Earth was established had four branches. God refers to the world as having four corners.

God’s grace

 

Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. (2 Corinthians 11:24 AKJV)

 

Paul received grace to endure in affliction. God’s tabernacle, whose design was given directly by God, contained five curtains (Exodus 26:3), five bars (Exodus 26:26-27), five pillars and five sockets (Exodus 26:37), and an altar made of wood that was five cubits long and five cubits wide (Exodus 27:1). The height of the court within the tabernacle was five cubits. (Exodus 27:18)

• The holy anointing oil (Exodus 30:23-25), the ingredients of which were given directly by God, was used to consecrate the furniture of the tabernacle. It was composed of five ingredients and it was used to bring God’s power through grace.

Man or completed works

​

And God said, Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness… And God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Genesis 1:26, 31 AKJV)

​

On the sixth day, God created man. He also completed His work and rested after this. 

​

Manifestation because of sin

​

• The Bible mentions six earthquakes (Exodus 19:18,  Amos 1:1, Matthew 27:54, 28:2, Acts 16:26) that have occurred on the Earth as a result of sin.

• Jesus was accused six times of being demon-possessed. (Mark 3:22, John 7:20, 8:48, 8:52, 10:20 and Luke 11:15)

• The word of God records that Christ was asked six times, most of the time by those who were self-righteous, to produce a sign to prove who He was and the claims He made.

Physical completion & perfection - for good or evil

​

Thus the Heavens and the Earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. (Genesis 2:1-2 AKJV)

​

There were seven cows that represented seven years of abundance and seven years of famine in Pharaoh's dream that Jacob interpreted. (Genesis 41)
God’s week consists of seven days, the completion of time for the physical world. The Bible, as a whole, was originally divided into seven major divisions. They are:

• The Law 

• The Prophets 

• The Writings or Psalms 

• The Gospels and Acts 

• The General Epistles

• The Epistles of Paul

• The Book of Revelation

​

The total number of originally inspired books are 49, or 7 x 7, demonstrating the absolute perfection of the Word of God.
In the book of Revelation, there are seven churches, seven angels to the seven churches, seven seals, seven trumpets, seven thunders, and the seven last plagues. 

​

New beginning

​

• God saved eight people on the ark in order to have a new beginning for mankind after the flood. Since the meaning of four is derived from God's creation of everything, eight (4 + 4) pictures the new creation after the flood.

• Abraham, the father of the faithful, had eight sons in total. They were Ishmael, Isaac, Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.

• Jesus showed Himself alive eight times after His resurrection from the dead. His first appearance alive was to Mary Magdalene (Mark 16:9-11). He then showed Himself to two disciples traveling to Emmaus (Luke 24). Next, He appeared to all the disciples except Thomas (John 20:19-24), then a week later to all of them when Thomas was present. (John 20:26-29)

• The New Testament was penned by only eight men (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, Peter, Jude, Paul)

Divine completeness and finality

​

• Christ died at the ninth hour of the day, or 3 p.m., to make the way of salvation open to everyone.

• There are nine fruit of God's Holy Spirit: faithfulness, gentleness, goodness, joy, kindness, long-suffering, love, peace, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

• Hosea, who was Israel's last king before the kingdom fell to the Assyrians in 723 BC, reigned for just nine years. (732 to 723 BC)

Great opposition

 

• The first battle mentioned in God's word is between a confederation of four kings against another which has five kings for a total of nine kings. (Genesis 14:1-2) It can mean overcoming a great opposition which will lead to victory. 

​

Complete physical affliction

 

• There are nine people recorded as having leprosy; Moses, Miriam, Naaman, Gehazi, King Azariah, and the four lepers of Samaria. (2 Kings 7)

Ordination to God or Satan - man’s responsibility to God

 

• In Genesis 1 we find the phrase "God said" ten times, which is a testimony of His creative power. God gave the Ten Commandments to man. Ten, therefore, represents man's responsibility or ordination to God. A tithe is a tenth of our earnings and is what belongs to God. 

• The last great world-ruling kingdom of man under Satan is symbolized prophetically by the ten toes in Daniel 2, and the ten horns of Revelation 13 and 17.

 

Journey or wilderness

 

• The ten plagues God sent on ancient Egypt, in order to free His people before they journeyed into the wilderness.

• There are Ten Days of Awe, a Hebrew festival, where God draws close to man before the Day of Atonement when judgment is sealed.

Transition

 

The gospel of John records eleven very special promises.

​

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 AKJV)

 

A person can receive everlasting life by believing in the Son of God.

 

Whoever eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:54 AKJV)

 

A person can have eternal life by eating, accepting the covenant with Jesus’ that He paid for with His body which is the Word of God. Drinking the wine, which symbolizes His Blood, the blood of a new covenant.

​

Then spoke Jesus again to them, saying, I am the Light of the world: he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12 AKJV)

 

By following Jesus you will not walk in darkness.

 

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, if you continue in My word, then are you, My disciples, indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32 AKJV)

 

Those who continue in Jesus’ word will be set free.

 

If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:36 AKJV)

 

A person will truly be free if made so by Jesus.

 

If any man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve Me, him will My Father honor. (John 12:26 AKJV)

 

God the Father will honor those who serve Christ.

 

Truly, truly, I say to you, He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to My Father. (John 14:12 AKJV)

 

Those who believe in Jesus will do greater deeds than He did.

 

If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever. (John 14:15-16 AKJV)

 

Those who obey Christ's commands will receive the Holy Spirit.

 

He that has My commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him. (John 14:21 AKJV)

 

Those who keep Jesus’ commands will be loved by both Him and God the Father.

 

I am the vine, you are the branches: He that stays in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 AKJV)

 

Those who abide in Jesus will be fruitful.

 

Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends, if you do whatever I command you. From now on I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father I have made known to you. (John 15:13-15 AKJV)

 

A person can be Christ's friend if they obey Him.

 

Prophetic transition

 

Jesus was about 33 years when He died for the sins of mankind so we could transition into righteousness with God. Three is spiritual perfection and when combined with eleven, it brings about the perfect prophetic transition for all mankind.

Government or governance 

 

• The Bible shows that 12 is a perfect governmental foundation. It can also symbolize completeness or the nation of Israel as a whole.

• God’s nation, Israel was divided into 12 tribes which governed the country. 

• Christ called and chose 12 men to bear witness to what He did and to spread the good news of the gospel to the entire world. After He was raised from the dead, the 11 disciples (Judas had killed himself) elected a 12th disciple into leadership to replace Judas. (Acts 1:21-24)

• Twelve thousand from each tribe of Israel (144,000 in total) will receive salvation during the end time's Great Tribulation (Revelation 7:4). A set of 144,000 (12 x 12,000), possibly the same as those in chapter seven, will be taken from the Earth in order to serve and follow the Lamb of God (Revelation 14:1-5). Christ's bride in Revelation 12, the church, wears a crown containing 12:1 stars.

• The New Jerusalem, which is made in Heaven and brought to the Earth by God Himself, contains 12 gates made of pearls which are each manned by an angel. Over each gate will be one of the names of Israel's 12 tribes. The walls are 144 cubits high (12 multiplied by itself - Revelation 21:16 - 17), with the city itself being 12,000 furlongs square.

 

Age of accountability

 

• The Scripture's first recording of Jesus' words occurs when He is 12 years old. (Luke 2:42) According to Hebrew tradition, at this age, most children know the difference between good and evil and are now responsible for their own choices.

Rebellion, lawlessness

 

• Nimrod, the mighty hunter who was ‘before the Lord’ (meaning he tried to take the place of God), (Genesis 10:9) was the 13th in Ham's line. (Ham was one of Noah's three sons who survived the flood.) Thirteen represents all the governments created by men, and inspired by Satan, in outright rebellion against God.

• The phrase ‘valley of Hinnom’ (or a variation thereof) occurs in 13 places in Scripture. The valley was the scene of the evil-inspired rites of the pagan god Moloch (or Molech). The practices related to this false deity received some credibility when they were knowingly allowed by King Solomon (1 Kings 11:7) in order to please his non-Israelite wives.

• Haman the Agagite had a decree signed on the 13th day of the first month that on the 13th day of the 12th month all Jews in the Persian Empire were to be killed. (Esther 3:7-9)

Multiplied or generational physical completion and perfection

 

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations. (Matthew 1:17 AKJV)

 

The number 14 is seven times two. Seven is completion and is the physical while two is multiplied. So 14 is multiplied or generational perfection and completion. 

 

With this scripture, we can see that Jesus was the physical manifestation of completion and perfection for generations (14). Also, three is God’s number of spiritual completion and perfection: there were three generations of physical completion before Jesus was born spiritually perfect and complete.

Reprieve, mercy

 

In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, thus said the LORD, Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live. Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying, I beseech you, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before You in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in Your sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. And it came to pass, before Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying, turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of My people, thus said the LORD, the God of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears: behold, I will heal you: on the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD. And I will add to your days fifteen years… (2 Kings 1-6 AKJV)

 

• King Hezekiah, who was sick and dying, prayed that God would remember his works and how he served Him with his whole heart. God heard his prayer and told the king, through the prophet Isaiah, that he would be healed and granted an additional 15 years of life. (2 Kings 20:1-6)

Established beginnings

 

This can be established for good or evil. Not only is this the meaning of four and eight, but it can also be seen in Scripture:

 

• King Ahaz: Reigned 16 years and established an altar of another god in the Temple when Israel came under an attack because of the idolatry he was leading. (2 Kings 16, Chronicles 29)

 

• King Uzziah: He was 16 years old when he began to reign, and he reigned 52 years in Jerusalem. King Uzziah did that which was right in the sight of the Lord and sought God in the days of Zechariah who had understanding in the visions of God. King Uzziah’s reign was one of the most successful and most prosperous reigns in the kingdom of Judah. The Lord helped him to have conquests; he defeated the Philistines, the Arabians, and the Meunites. He committed himself to developing his kingdom; he built cities, towers, etc.; he built a strong defense for Jerusalem; and he built a strong military force. (2 Kings 15, Chronicles 26)

Reporting to others

 

Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought to his father their evil report. (Genesis 37:2 AKJV)

 

17 can represent speaking about what others are doing. This can be evil speaking and it can be telling on others. It could also be those who reveal what others are doing.

​

Unrepentant heart

​

So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess. And he did evil because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.(2 Chronicles 12:13-14 AKJV)

 

…Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem… And Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked Him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers had done. For they also built them high places, and images, and groves, on every high hill, and under every green tree. And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. (1 Kings 14:21-24 AKJV)

In the twenty-third year of Joash the son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and he reigned for seventeen years. He did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin; he did not depart from them. (2 Kings 13:1-2 ESV) 

 

It may represent that you are not ready to seek God’s ways or your heart is not aligned with God. The specific sins are honoring and valuing things above God (built them high places) and sexual sin.

 

Provision and/or restoration in hardship

​

And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years. So the days of Jacob, the years of his life, were 147 years. (Genesis 47:28 ESV)

 

“And I bought the field at Anathoth from Hanamel my cousin, and weighed out the money to him, seventeen shekels of silver… “For thus says the LORD: Just as I have brought all this great disaster upon this people, so I will bring upon them all the good that I promise them. Fields shall be bought in this land of which you are saying, ‘It is a desolation, without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’ Fields shall be bought for money, and deeds shall be signed and sealed and witnessed, in the land of Benjamin, in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the Shephelah, and in the cities of the Negeb; for I will restore their fortunes, declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 32:9 & 42-44 ESV)

During a famine, a time of hardship or disaster, God’s people may find provisions and/or restoration. This can be seen as Joseph’s dedication brought provision and Jeremiah’s prophecy revealed even though God’s people received harsh correction, eventually, God did provide for them once again.

 

The enemy or overcoming the enemy

​

• God removed evil humanity when He began to flood the earth on the 17th of the second Hebrew month.

• Jesus Christ gained a complete victory over death and the grave when God resurrected Him near sunset on Nisan 17. (Saturday, April 8, 30 A.D.)

Bondage or freedom from bondage

 

• After taking possession of the Promised Land, the children of Israel were in bondage to several nations. Two of their enemies, Eglon the Moabite king and the Philistines (with the help of the people of Ammon) oppressed them for 18 years. (Judges 3:12, 14, 10:7-8)

• Bondage can also be spiritual in nature. Jesus healed a woman that had a “spirit of infirmity” which had been with her for over 18 years. (Luke 13:11)

 

Strong and valiant

​

Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong and able men—eighteen in all. (1 Chronicle 26:9 BSB)

Unresolved conflict

 

• Joab pursued Abner who had gathered Saul’s heir to oppose King David. After a long pursuit and bloodshed on both sides, Abner escaped over the Jordan in the middle of the night. There were only 19 men left in Joab’s command. (2 Samuel 2:30).

Completed waiting period

 

• For 20 years Jacob waited to get possession of his wives and property and to be freed from the control of Laban, his father-in-law. (Genesis 31:38-41) 

• For 20 years the children of Israel waited to be freed of Jabin, king of Canaan, who oppressed them. God’s response was to raise up Deborah and Barak, who freed the people from bondage. (Judges 4-5)

• Solomon spent seven years building the house of God in Jerusalem and another 13 years building his own home for a total number of 20 years. After he had completed both buildings Solomon gave Hiram, the king of Tyre, 20 cities in the land of Galilee. (1 Kings 9:10-11)

 

Age of adulthood

Then the LORD said to Moses, "When you take the census of the Israelites, each one shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD when you count them, so that no plague will come on them when you number them... Everyone who is counted, from twenty years old and over, [as he joins those already counted], shall give this contribution to the LORD. (Exodus 30:11 & 14 AMPC)

 

“Take a census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, by their families (clans), by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, every male, head by head from twenty years old and upward, all in Israel who are able to go out to war. (Numbers 1:3 AMPC)

“A census of the people shall be taken from twenty years old and upward, just as the LORD has commanded Moses.’”(Numbers 26:4 AMPC)

 

The age of full responsibility as an adult began at the age of 20. One could pay taxes, go to war, and be counted in a census.

The age ministry begins

 

Jesus, when he began his ministry, was about thirty years of age… (Luke 3:23 ESV)

 

In Israel, priests began their ministry at this age.

Jubilee: set free from debt 

 

And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee to you; and you shall return every man to his possession, and you shall return every man to his family. (Leviticus 25:10 AKJV)

 

Every 50th year, there is a year of Jubilee where you are set free from debt.

Exile, punishment, and captivity by an en­emy 

 

In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, perceived in the books the number of years that, according to the word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet, must pass before the end of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years. (Daniel 9:2 ESV)

 

Punishment, God’s wrath will come upon Israel after 70 weeks of years.

Strength in life for work

​

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (Psalms 90:10)

 

Eighty years if we can be strong enough to work.

Faithful sheep

​

And the LORD said to Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand: and let all the other people go every man to his place. (Judges 7:6 AKJV)

 

300 men were chosen to deliver Israel.

End times, the beast of Revelation 

 

Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (Rev. 13:18 AKJV)

​

Six is the number of man. Three is spiritual completion and perfection. When you have six three times in a row, it is man trying to be spiritually complete within himself, without God.

Chosen warriors, accuracy in battle

​

Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men left handed; every one could sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss. (Judges 20:15-16 AKJV)

 

Among all the people, seven hundred were chosen for accuracy.

​

Millennial reign

​

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (Revelation 20:5 AKJV)

 

After the wrath of God is poured out, the faithful will live and reign with Jesus for 1000 years.

144,000

​

Faithful, dedicated, chosen, and anointed for Jesus

 

And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. (Revelation 7:4 AKJV)

 

144,000 are chosen, sealed, and anointed for God during the Tribulation.
